More Super Street Fighter 4 footage from GDC has surfaced thanks to G4 with some new clips of Hakan's gameplay and a short interview with the game's producer, yoshinori Ono. Ono talks a bit about the inspiration for Hakan and how Super Street Fighter 4 is the Street Fighter he wanted to make in the first place but couldn't due to limited time and resources.

Capcom's Seth Killian responds to Reports about Gen and Guile in Super Street Fighter 4, about putting too much stock in early balance impressions, & about Balance Theory

In the Ask Capcom forums at Capcom Unity, Seth Killian responded to some posts from readers who questioned Gen and Guile's balance and the game's balance in general. Seth does a great job once again in answering the questions the best he can. Read on:

"Gen: Only nerfs found so far, no chain combos, no Standing Medium Kick, Cancel into Hands at all. EX-Wall Dive lost some invincibility."

Why does it seem like Gen and other low end characters are getting the short end of the stick, and characters like Dudley and Ibuki are going to be able to walk all over them? Please tell those of us who actually play Gen how he's getting better. I do remember you saying that everyone was getting better but it seems like this certainly isn't the case for some.

Anyway to answer the question re: Gen, he has a few new bits but probably the best of them is the much faster wall-dives. They were essentially useless in SFIV (apart from EX as escape), but now they are legit--IMO they're better than Adon's, and everytime they hit, it's free Ultra.

AMAZING SUPER STREET FIGHTER 4 WALLPAPERS BY BOSSLOGIC

NEW SUPER STREET FIGHTER 4 VIDEOS FROM GDC

These videos are from the recent GDC Fight Club held by CAPCOM and you'll see some gameplay from Juri, Dudley, Dee Jay, Ibuki and others. WEEKEND TOURNAMENT RESULTS

Final Round XIII was the major tournament this weekend, with it being one of the largest and most anticipated of the year. This tournament is truly a "southern tradition", with players travelling from all over the country and even the world to showcase their skills.

This year was particularly interesting, with Justin Wong now being a resident of the West Coast, and two of the best Korean Tekken 6 players Knee and Nin in attendance as well. Final Round XIII was also the first major tournament to have Street Fighter 4 and now it is also what many people consider to be the last major tournament for the game with Super Street Fighter 4 right around the corner.

Of course, I have to show NorCal some love since we had a handful of tournaments this weekend as well. First there was what has become more or less a Friday tradition at Keystone, the 2v2 random teams tournament where you can be paired up with pretty much anyone and also Droms Comics Street Fighter 4 singles which took place in Davis, CA. I've embedded the videos for both NorCal tournaments below so be sure to check those out when you have some time.

You can check out the results below for all these tournaments, and since I'm posting these placings from memory, I'll continue to update and make corrections as more details come through for all these events. Alternatively, you can keep an eye on the Final Round XIII Results thread on SRK where they should post up the full results of each game sometime this week.

HAKAN CHARACTER WALKTHROUGH BY SETH KILLIAN

Seth Killian appeared on GameSpot's "On the Spot" and gives us a nice character walkthrough of Hakan. Also on the show is a short interview with Yoshinori Ono, talking a bit about Hakan and how they fit the Street Fighter 3 characters in the Street Fighter 4 universe.
