Famitsu.com and Gamespot released a few new videos today, showcasing the newest additions to the Marvel vs Capcom 3 roster, Storm and C. Viper! Is C. Viper the spiritual successor to Captain Commando? Will Storm be a dominating force as she was in Marvel vs Capcom 2? Check out the videos below and judge for yourself!
MuttonHead over at Being a Scrub wrote up pretty much my favorite kind of article. He talks about picking up Tokido from the airport as he arrives for Shadowloo Showdown, and the events that went down afterwards. It's really well written and brings you into the whole timeline and thoughts of the surrounding players as they welcome one of the biggest names in Street Fighter to their scene. You can read the entire article by clicking here.
Speaking of Shadowloo Showdown, the event is only a few days away. Be sure to check out their official site to get all the details on the event by clicking here.

There are a lot of SSF4 tutorials out there, but this is easily one of the best that I've seen so far. This is a two part tutorial on Dudley, which is really well organized using YouTube features that allow you to skip around to different areas with a single click. We've embedded both parts below, but be sure to subscribe to Thirtyfour's YouTube Channel.
Want to see the new SSF4 alternate costumes in the wild before pulling the trigger and spending that cash? VGA Gaming Vids uploaded a video that showcases each color for the new costumes along with each character performing their Ultra to give you a better idea of how they look in action. Check out the full video below.
Yup, it's that time again, another night of Super Street Fighter 4 at Starbase Arcade! Most of you probably know the drill by now, but if you still haven't tuned in yet this is usually what goes down: casuals from 9PM to around 10PM PST, then we typically fire up a tournament of some sorts around 10:30ish to 2AM PST.
Starbase Arcade is located in the Northbay of Northern California, though it hosts top talent from all around the Bay Area. BLG Vangief, BLG Filipino Champ, Crizzle, Grimmz are just a few names of the players who are usually holding it down week by week.
An idea that was originally brought up in a panel at E3 to Ed Boon, and one that many thought would be cool but unlikely, is now a reality: Kratos from God of War will be a playable character in Mortal Kombat 9. Keep in mind this is a Playstation 3 exclusive character, and will only be available in versus mode, not in story mode.
Stickskills, which originally broke this news just now, is reporting that he will have his own set of Fatalities, combos and even his own God of War themed stage. This information was taken from the January issue of the issue of the
V-ryu, who is probably the most respected SSF4 Makoto player out there right now, put together a really cool video showcasing a number of different combos and options selects that most of us probably had no idea about. Keep in mind pretty much all of these are character specific, but you'll see some of them will also come in very handy versus strong characters such as Rufus and E. Honda. Check out the video below, and thanks to Lost Fragment on NeoGAF for pointing this out.
YogaFlame24 sent over another video of the beast everyone loves to hate! Many people mentioned that T SRAI's "gimmicks" wouldn't work on top players, even saying that Daigo was using Ken in a previous Ranked Match, so it had to be a fluke. If this video below doesn't make you a believer I don't know what else to say. Check it out!
We've seen a lot of change in the Fighting Game Community over the past few years here, one of the biggest being sponsorships and fighting games moving towards a lot of trends that other games -- such as Starcraft and First Person Shooters -- have experienced for a long time now. Glancing at recent tournament results, it's hard to look past the fact that most of top 8, and almost always top 3, at tournaments are sponsored players these days.
Most will probably agree that this is just the beginning for this type of movement, with fighting games being played side by side with other games at major events such as Dreamhack and MLG (Tekken 6) just to name a few. Generally this type of presentation and organization is referred to as "eSports" or "Competitive Gaming".
As a player, or even just a casual spectator, how do you feel about this movement? Do you feel this is the direction fighting games need to go or is the scene just far to different from the others to put them all under the same banner?
FightersFury.net sat down with EG Marn and Steve Harrison during NECXI and caught a couple words with them.
Marn touches on the subjects how the USA is almost caught up with Japan in Fighting Games, a little about MvC3 and all the haters in the world that try to troll him.
If you don't know who Steve Harrison is, you will know after this interview. He is one of the top SNK players and touches a little on how long he has been in the scene playing SNK games.

TeamSp00ky just uploaded some more match videos of the NSB x Beat By Contest to their YouTube. This match is featuring Kindevu Vs Momochi.
If you are tired of watching the time running out for SSF4 videos, this is the video to watch. Both Kindevu and Momochi are rush down monsters and they do it with style. There is not a dull moment in this video.

James Mielke from 1UP.com sits down with Virtua Fighter creator Yu Suzuki. They talk about where the industry is going these days and what will the future hold for us.
This is actually the first part of a multi-part interview, so keep your eyes out for the entries to come in what is sure to be a revealing dialogue with one of the most celebrated names in video games. Word on a console port of VF5: Final Showdown? Perhaps even an entirely new arcade board and Virtua Fighter 6? Shenmue 3?
Working as a game developer in Japan has its perks. The first and most obvious one is you get to make video games. The second less obvious perk is pretty much all of your connections are with other game developers. This played a major factor in scoring this interview.
SNK Brings NeoGeo Classics to PSN and PSP: Initial Lineup Includes Fatal Fury, King of Fighters '94 and Samurai Showdown
Andriasang reports that SNK Playmore is bringing a new "NeoGeo Station" service to Playstation Network and PSP which will allow you to play NeoGeo classics on those platforms.
Ten titles will be available to start and these include Fatal Fury, The King of Fighters '94, Samurai Showdown and Art of Fighting. Separate versions of each title are being sold for the PSP and PS3 (with PS3 versions costing a bit more), but they have some impressive features for an emulation service like this.
NEC XI was last weekend and a lot of videos from the tournament are starting to surface. Sp00ky will be uploading the SSF4 videos soon but in the meantime Jaxel from 8wayRun.com was streaming all the Soul Caliber 4 tournament matches. He has uploaded a hefty amount of match videos to his YouTube Channel and still uploading many more!

iPlayWinner has teamed up with The Best Damn Nerd Show to bring you guys a new series of interviews called "Bread & Butter". The first three we have lined up for you guys are Mike Ross, Alex Valle and Crackfiend, which were filmed at NorCal Regionals 8.
Much like B&B combos, the aim of this series is to compile a go to set of interviews where you can quickly get a rundown of each player's background. We feel there are a lot of great interviews out there, but sometimes we forget to ask players the basics of where they come from and other general information that people new to the scene may not be aware of. That said, these interviews also contain information about the players you may have had no idea about as even if you've been around just as long as they have!
