If you've been having troubles pulling off Magneto's bread and butter combo, megamands has a great tutorial video that breaks it down for you. In addition to showing you how to perform the combo, the video also takes a look at your various options for ending the combo, including a level 3 ender for nasty damage. Check it out if you're interested in Magneto!
Interested in seeing what Japanese players are up to in Marvel vs Capcom 3? SMOAI2010 has an hour's worth of footage from a recent tournament where, apparently, a lot of people were in attendance. The video quality's a bit rough, but it's still completely watchable. Check it out below!
Some of the screenshots show gameplay but others show things like stages and story segments. This game actually looks pretty good, and it will be interesting to see how the 3D enhances or detracts from the visuals.
Check out all 20 screenshots in the gallery here! Enjoy!

Our friends over at Avoiding The Puddle are running a contest right now where you can win a Hori Real Arcade Pro V3-SA arcade stick for PS3/360 if you pre-order their upcoming t-shirt. All of the funds go directly into equipment to make their streams and video content better than ever, and the t-shirt is pretty damn awesome, too. If you'd like the chance to score yourself a sweet new arcade stick -- and a cool shirt -- head on over to Avoiding The Puddle!
GoldenHorseshoeSF uploaded a whole bunch of MvC3 replays from the recent Ontario PWN Classic tournament over in Ontario, Canada. The tournament had a bunch of solid players such as JS Master in attendance, so the quality of matches is pretty high in these vids. You can check out a few of them below, and the rest you can find on GoldenHorseshoeSF's YouTube channel.
There's also a couple of matches from the SSFIV tournament held at the event on the channel as well, so be sure to check that out, too!
DandyDLC just posted up a cool video showing us what is probably one of the most practical ways to use Trish's Boomerang Hyper Combo. The basic idea here is to activate the Hyper Combo, then swap out Trish for the next character. The opponent will be unable to push block the next teammate like they can to Trish, and this leads to a ton of real nasty mix-ups. Check out the entire video below, and for more MVC3 tricks and combos check out DandyDLC's YouTube Channel.
A new trailer popped up recently for the next revision of VF5: Final Showdown, which they are dubbing Version A. Though details about balance changes and tweaks are sparse at the moment, it appears Dural will be a playable character!
With all the new fighting games on the horizon, if SEGA released VF5: FS to consoles, would you pick it up over any of the others?
A batch of new Mortal Kombat screenshots were released today! Sonya is featured prominently, but there is a wide variety of characters shown. This game looks amazing in every screenshot I see, and April can't come soon enough!
Screenshots come via MK-XTRA.COM. Thanks to Jonas for the tip!
Marvel vs Capcom 3 has been in the wild for a week now (longer in some lucky areas!), and many have been enjoying beating down friend and stranger alike. The focus of today's topic is the game's online multiplayer. In today's gaming environment, the strength of a game's online modes are extremely important, especially if you don't go to tournaments or have a group of friends to play against on a regular basis.
Many of you out there have seen the image on the left many times, and Capcom is working on the issue.
But what do you think of the quality of Marvel vs Capcom 3's online play aside from that? What do you like? What do you not like? Are there any modes or changes that you would like to see?

Those of you keeping up with MVC3 probably know Seattle has been stepping up their game big time lately. With heavy hitters such as Buktooth -- who wrote the MVC3 guide -- now residing in Seattle, this is one region you'll definitely want to keep your eye on for top level play. Tanaka, who moved up there from NorCal not too long ago ended up taking this entire tournament, and you'll see what sort of tactics he employed to do so in the videos below.
Desk just unleashed another monster MVC3 video for Akuma, showcasing his infinite setups versus a number of different characters. It basically comes down to looping the Heavy Tatsu over and over again, though you'll see there are a bunch of different ways to pull it off. Check out the video below, and go to Desk's YouTube Channel for the transcript.
It remains to be seen just where Ryu will place in Marvel vs Capcom 3, and the consensus as of right now is that he's not great, but it can't be denied that he can pull off some high damage combos with the right setups. SaishuuKessen proves this point with three Ryu combo vids, several of which utilize his combo ability after landing Shin Shoryuken. If you want something to get your hopes up about with Ryu, check these out and, if you like them, be sure to subscribe to SaishuuKessen's YouTube channel!
Yo, so as a lot of you probably know by now I'm a huge fan of smooth jams and good music so I wanted to share these remixes of Street Fighter and Marvel vs Capcom 3 tracks by DJ Kariu. Most of them have a DNB vibe, though the Morrigan track is a pretty dope house beat that you gotta' check out as well. I embedded my favorites below, but you can find more on his YouTube Channel.
Arcades have faded from prominence in North America many years ago, but a handful have lingered onward despite the odds. It is our sad duty to report that two of the few remaining arcades are closing their doors soon. Arcade Infinity in Rowland Heights California will close its doors on February 26th, while Chinatown Fair in New York will closed by the end of the month.
Both of these arcades are dear to the hearts of many in the fighting game community, even if they haven't been there personally. Many top players have come from these arcades and you have probably enjoyed some of the many tournament match videos and streams which have originated there.
We have many fond memories and wish the owners of both arcades all the best in the future.
IPW would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the owners of these arcades, to the owners of arcades still fighting the good fight, and to all of those out there who support them directly through putting up your quarters or indirectly by watching their videos and tuning in to their streams.
A new video has surfaced showing some gameplay for Jill Valentine, one of the characters who is coming to Marvel vs Capcom 3 in March via DLC. Apparently this clip came from hacking into the PS3 version of the game, so while it will likely give you a good idea of what the character will play like, it may differ from the final version. Video comes via Alzmer with the tip coming from Scrubby.
What do you think? Good addition to the roster?
IGN managed to grab a video interview with Marvel vs Capcom 3 producer Ryota Niitsuma at the game's launch party. Subjects include the game's artstyle, the power available to the developer with today's consoles, working for achieving balance with this game, the number of characters included and criteria of selecting them, and more.
Check it out after the jump!
LevelUpYourGame is back with a new video, and they are deviating from their normal format of Tekken strategy to bring us a ton of great info on MVC3 straight from Mike Ross and Clockw0rk! There is a ton of great stuff in this video, and I am positive anyone who watches it will learn something new, so when you have an hour or two to spare, be sure to sit down and check this one out.
