Illevate uploaded a bunch of really sick SSF4: AE videos, recorded at Alpha Station in Tokyo on NYE. The set of videos that caught my eye were the ones featuring Tonpy, who many of you probably know is a world class C. Viper player. There are a few of him playing Viper, but also one of him getting some Juri action in as well.
Check out a few of the videos below and find more on Illevate's YouTube Channel.
Victormaru put together a video to get everyone super hype for Marvel vs Capcom 3 which is out in about a month and a half now -- can you believe it? After all this time, it's almost here! Anyway, this video dubs many of Yipes classic comments over MVC3 footage, and you'll be surprised how well a lot of them work together.
I also embedded the video "MVC2 Will Never Die" many of you might of seen on SRK a day or two ago for reference. Check it out!
Tokido updated his blog once again, and while there aren't any new gameplay videos, he uploaded a few nice ones showing the view of Yokohama from his ride on a ferris wheel. Hah! Anyway, he responds to some of the comments left on his last entry, saying that F. Champ is free to him as he beat him 7-0 in SoCal, but is a good player if he knows the opponents character. He also feels that Justin Wong is the best American player.
NSB broadcasted a SSF4: AE New Years stream last night featuring well over an hour of some pretty solid gameplay all around. The replay of the stream is below and clocks in around an hour and ten minutes, so there is a lot to take in. There is also a good 15 minute chunk of Yun dominating, so if you still haven't got your SSF4: AE Yun fix, be sure to check it out.
I came across this treat as I was checking my YouTube subscriptions this morning, and it looks like Desk has a lot of really cool stuff lined up for us come next year -- err, tomorrow? Anyway, this video will give you an idea of what Desk is working on, with some previews of some really great combos, setups and execution techniques. My favorite part of the video? The Makoto section obviously -- you gotta' see it!
jason24cf sent over a handful of videos featuring DMG PR Balrog doing what he does best -- mollywhoppin' the competition with Boxer. Two of these videos have DMG PR Balrog going on a rampage versus some of the East Coast's best in SSF4: AE. There is also a pretty solid interview with his thoughts on Balrog, how some of his match ups have gotten more difficult and a bunch of other stuff. Check it out.
Desk who many of you know makes some of the most amazing combo videos out there, with video of his hands to prove the inputs, landed the world record high score for single player SSF4 a little earlier this month. This score was verified by Twin Galaxies last night. The high score is set at 2,587,000 and obtained this by using Chun-Li, as you'll see in the picture to the left.
The previous record holder, Jeffrey Lowe, sent over some more details on this accomplishment when I asked him for some video to see what went into this feat. Read up on what he had to say below:
Hungry for more King of Fighters XIII videos? Of course you are, and a-cho has you covered with two new videos of high level gameplay, running at about 50 minutes total. Looks like they are fresh out the oven too as the recording date is from the 26th of this month. Either way, check out both videos after the break.
Tokido updated his blog again, this time with a Bison mirror match between KIM1234 and TUC which you can check out below. Be sure to subscribe to his YouTube Channel if you haven't already. He also has a few interesting things to say about SSF4: AE in response to people who left a comment on his blog which you can read about below as well.

This week we have a great entry from Jinxee, who gives us a background on how he got into the scene, what drew him to play Blanka and some solid general tips for those of you just getting into fighting games. A great read all around, so be sure to check it out and leave him a comment or two on what you think!
Alright, so another day at MGL under my belt, and things are coming along nicely. The wait wasn't as long this time around -- only ONE HOUR -- so I got a few more games in this time and actually won a couple. Yeah! On top of that, players are starting to get a better grip on the next revision of SSF4, with ROM showing us some new stuff with Yang and Lamerboi, well, being Lamerboi with DeeJay.
We recorded a bunch of videos, with more to come which I've embedded below. Check 'em out when you get a chance and be sure to subscribe to our YouTube Channel for more cool vids.
0ShinAkuma0 put together godlike highlight reel from the best of SSF4 online ranked matches he's collected over the past few months. If you like GOIN' IN, you gotta see this 'cuz pretty much everywhere it's gonna be hot! Wait, what? Whatever. Check out the video, you wont regret it!
You've probably read up on Tokido's blog by now, but did you know Momochi has a blog as well? Well, he does, and he updated it recently with some Makoto theory combos and set ups as he apparently hasn't been able to get to the arcade much but is testing a lot of stuff at home based on AE frame data and known info. USD over at NeoGAF did a great job translating this for iPlayWinner, so thanks again to him. Check out Momochi's notes below!
Tokido is back with another blog update and he uploaded a killer video featuring Kindevu's Yun. In my opinion, this is one of the cleanest looking Yun's I've seen so far, which is to be expected -- it's Kindevu! I'm really liking his Genei Jin set up, activating after an anti-air Dragon Kick in the corner. Check it out below.

Running Wild shot over an email just now linking to a forum post that mentions details on a console port of King of Fighters XIII could appear in next months Famitsu. Now, this is just a rumor of course, but I wouldn't be too surprised if this ended up being true. We conducted an interview with SNK manager Shinya Morishita at SCR and he mentioned that the game will be coming to consoles in 2011, and they have a lot of events planned around the eventual console release as well.
So I finally got around to reading this entire interview from 4gamer.net featuring some of Japan's top players and their thoughts on SSF4: AE. This is well worth the read as they give a solid breakdown on where each characters strengths and weaknesses lie in the new game. Many thanks to samjkim for the full translation which you can find below.
