In an interview with VG247, Tekken Producer Katsuhiro Harada talks a bit about Tekken Tag Tournament 2's upcoming tutorial mode, Fight Lab. He mentions that only advanced players typically spend any significant amount of time in traditional tutorial modes and Fight Lab sets out to change that by offering mini-games and various challenges to make it feel like less of a grind to learn the game.

Players can earn points by completing mini-games and challenges, which in turn allows them to customize their Combot with various attacks and items. This customized Combot can even be used in actual fights as well, though they mention it will most likely be banned in ranked matches.
Whether or not Fight Lab will take off and be embraced by casual and novice players has yet to be seen, but this is certainly a step in the right direction for fighting games as a whole. Read the entire feature by clicking here.
