What we do:
We play and broadcast our lives as professional fighting game players.
Our full time jobs will be to entertain viewers as best as possible with our game play, commentary, and real life antics.
With a tentative start date of 2/6/2012, we will be broadcasting ourselves starting from the ground up. Viewers will get to see us develop our house and we are looking to have anywhere from four to six cameras shooting our two living rooms (play areas) at all times.
For whom we do it:
Our target audience is mainly gamers, but our hope is that we will be able to appeal to a much broader demographic. Not only will people get to see superb game play footage, but they will also get to watch how a group of talented videogame players will react to living with each other on a day-to-day basis.
What makes us different:
- Audience interaction: We want you to join us and let us be your friends. We want to break the stereotype of gamers being awkward and antisocial by interacting with our stream channel’s chatroom as often as we can. We want you to feel like a part of our show!
- High-level play all of the time: Okay, maybe not the whole time, but since every resident of the house is considered a top renowned player, chances are you’re going to be watching competitive fighting games at the highest level; unlike most fighting game streams up to this point which are limited to either waiting for “top 8” of a tournament or watching one person play laggy online matches.
- Genuine personalities: Each resident of the FGTV house brings his own flavor of personality. From the brash and outspoken Filipino Champ, the sarcastic Shady K, the fabulous Ricky Ortiz, and the hot-headed PR Balrog, there will definitely be an interesting dynamic to the show and not just your plain old cookie-cutter parroting.
- Multiple streams: Like most shows, a big part of our livelihood depends on advertisements. However, we are going to have two setups and two streams with alternating commercials so that watching a commercial on one stream won’t totally stop the show.
Who’s behind the project:
This project is 100% funded and produced by us. We have total creative control over our show meaning we can evolve it how we want to and may even take audience suggestions in consideration when planning content.
