« Soul Calibur V Producer Says Just Frame Attacks Will Have Larger Input Window  »

Versus Fighting TV posted up an interview with Soul Calibur V producer Daishi Odashima from EVO2K11 where he talks about the direction the game is going, mentioning they are making certain moves such as Just Frame attacks easier to perform. He says the game as a whole wont be easy, but they are trying to lower the execution barrier to some degree in the hopes of it being less of an uphill battle for beginners.

Thanks to AriesWarlock for the tip.

Yes, I find it good that they are making Just Frames attacks a little easier, I could do Nightmare's without too much trouble, but Setsuka's were difficult for me.

Ugh, one more aspect of SCV I'm not diggin'. JS attacks are SUPPOSED to be fucking hard to do!!! Christ, am I one of the few left that think powerful attacks should be earned and not freely given? But w/e. I hope these concessions grow the SC community. I'm pretty sure most old dogs like me who were hardcore into SC1 & 2 will play the game, but won't give it their full attention.

In SC4, most just frames are easy to do, so making them easier isn't a big deal to me. Plus we don't know how easier just frames will be in SC5. And already in SC5, characters that had a move that required a just frame are now done through using meter.
