« EVO2K11 Live Stream Details »

Many of you might have seen the post on SRK yesterday revealing the details for the live stream for EVO2K11. This is of course a production that we are very proud to be a part of, and we hope you're already stocked up on energy drinks to keep you going throughout the weekend.

Yep, there will be something to watch virtually the entire weekend of EVO2K11! With a main stream, a side stream and a late-night stream, you'll be hard pressed to find enough willpower to pull yourself away from the computer at any given time if you don't want to miss the action.

Spooky will be operating the main stream throughout the day, showcasing all the pool play for all the major games and of course top 8 for every game at the event come Sunday. IPW will be there recording matches in HD, updating twitter with upcoming matches and other important info, and generally helping out with the main production through out the weekend.

Next, we pulled in Offcast and FinestKO to hold it down on the secondary stream. Both of these outfits have worked extremley hard over the past six months to a year to bring everyone a ton of great fighting game content and as I've personally worked with both of these teams, it made perfect sense to bring them in to broadcast many of the other games at the event such as MK9, BlazBlue and Tekken.

Finally, IPLAYWINNER will be holding it down for the after-hours stream, broadcasting matches between countless top players after the main even is over and done with each day. We are of course super hype to be handling the EVO After-Hours, and any of you who are familiar with our raw approach to streaming can already guess as to why. It should be a few wild nights full of amazing matches and dream team commentary, so be sure to stay up to check it out each night.

Finally, IPLAYWINNER will be broadcasting the LIVE DRAFT for the EC vs WC MVC3 5v5.  We're really excited to bring this to the table, where you'll be able to watch EG Justin Wong and TS NerdJosh reveal their team picks come Thursday night.

We've put in a ton of work behind the scenes to make sure this is the best EVO stream to date, and we can only hope that you guys are looking forward to it just as much as we are, if not more. This is truly a production that couldn't take place without all of us coming together to make it happen, and what we mentioned above only scratches the surface as to what to expect!

EVO2K11 is in about two weeks, so keep an eye on SRK and IPW for more details on the stream itself, and of course if you plan on going to the event, be sure to register ASAP!

When you record the matches please record what is on the stream not just the game don't do what they did last year and just have the game and commentary it would be cool to see the salt.
Congrats to all of you guys you all deserved to stream evo.

Gonna have to disagree with you there, the stream quality rips are no good for youtube, I want the direct feed captured so we can watch the matches archived on youtube in crisp HD.

I'm glad that EVO is going the multiple stream route this year. I made the suggestion when the Team Spooky for EVO thread was going on over at SRK. There's going to be so much going on at EVO that one stream is not enough to capture it for those couple of days leading up to the finals.

Good luck.

IPW is the perfect choice to run after-hours stream
glad evo is interested in keeping the raw flavor of the arcade scene alive.
Team Spooky in the morning + IPW at night = awesome evo

so u guys are gonna help spooky in the morning and stream late night too? thats a lot of overtime lol

I also disagree with Psyclone. Stream the matches and commentary. I've always wondered if displaying the player-cam on stream consumes more bandwidth than not, and with all the monsters watching from home that may become a problem. But I could be wrong.

If you watch grown men act like babies when they lose, you should have probably traveled there to witness it first-hand.

I'd would also like to suggest that commentators commentate on what's going on in the match, and save the random bullshit for when there isn't a match going on.

Seriously, the community handles this stuff so much better than that IGN fiasco a year or two ago. Good luck to IPW and Spooky for containing this much hype

It's hella dope to see so many streaming teams come together for this production because at the end of the day; fuck who you 'represent', this is all about the community as a whole. It's all for the community.

aye and I hella called that offcast was gunna stream at evo haha THEY TOO GDLK!

I really hope you guys have a way to include crowd noise when you're recording. It just adds so much hype hearing the crowd's reactions.

I agree with Psyclone, but the obvious and easy solution is that if you want those raw moments that don't translate to the youtube accounts, just go back on either the Team Spooky or IPW stream, go to the video archive and rewatch/skip through the parts and stuff you don't want to see and relive your favorite moments as they were live on the stream.

This community isn't going to sacrifice HD quality matches and commentary for a few moments of saltiness. Also in my opinion just uploading literally the whole broadcast or even larger segments than just the matches adds SO much more work onto their already over-flooding plate of things to do.

Martyr Evo is not gonna let spooky archive the stream they don't like people uploading their videos thats why you can't find the majority of the evo 2010 matches.
lordofultima i didn't mean rip the archive i meant record the matches like spooky does if you look at his youtube the quality of those videos are awesome.
