« HAKAN CHARACTER WALKTHROUGH BY SETH KILLIAN »
Seth Killian appeared on GameSpot's "On the Spot" and gives us a nice character walkthrough of Hakan. Also on the show is a short interview with Yoshinori Ono, talking a bit about Hakan and how they fit the Street Fighter 3 characters in the Street Fighter 4 universe.
The segment starts at about 30 minutes in.

Here are a couple YouTube clips that cut right to the chase for the Hakan character walkthrough. Thanks to QBoRo for the heads up.

I hate to be negative but Hakan looks really weak.
He seems like Gief with (maybe?) better normals. However he doesn't have a "get off me" move (lariat) or a projectile counter (EX greenhand.) Unless he has something we haven't seen, I think once he gets past the unknown factor, Hakan players are going to face very bad uphill battles.
I'd disagree with saying that Hakan looks weak. He doesn't seem to look like he has a good anti-air, true, but everything else looks fine. His range for throws seems ridiculous and he has tons of normals. He also doesn't need to finish the animation to get oiled up, he just needs to start it. For such a tremendous buff it seems really easy to oil up. As a projectile counter he has the coward crouch and the slide.
Its been said before but it think he looks a lot like honda in some ways. He has a hell of a way to cause mind games with his high low grabs and his damage when oiled is sick. Yeah like honda fireball characters will be trouble but i think this guy has tools like honda also
I hope they add the concepts in the game again. I want to see what other ideas they had in mind for new characters.
I like how Hakan was explained here. Seems to have a fairly good use of mix-ups from few variety of ranges. But I'm not too sure how much of a pressure can he dish on others. In other words, I'll wait till play against or with him to find out.
But I really wanna know before playing the game is what are so good of the new tools given to the old characters? I want to know in detail or in what scenario would these tools for the old characters fit best?
hakan?! whats up with the way seth holds his stick?! weird!
@ WHO
It think its called tiger style. Alot of people hold their sticks like that. If you go to arcades and look around.. Im sure you will see people playing like that. Of course.. I dont see how they could fight like that. Lol. But it works for them. Lol.
