EXCEED 2 TOURNAMENT FLYER - DOPE! EXCEED 2 was a major team tournament that went down in the UK over the weekend featuring top players such as Ryan Hart and Zak Bennett! 29 three man teams entered, and well you know how these things go, only one came out victorious.I've had the pleasure to talk to a couple of active members in the UK scene over the past month or so, Wesley A. and J. Bardolph. Wesley gave me the down low on the London scene and its players via a Skype conversation during one of the Haunts vs The World stream and I've been working closely with J. Bardolph (aka WorstGiefEver.. that's his screen name, I swear!) on helping him set up a streaming and recording rig. Both really cool guys and I'm sure they reflect the scene out there as a whole.. well I hope so anyway!
Here is the last match of the tournament between Zak who plays Akuma and Ryan who plays Sagat. The two commentators are F-Word and Zade and as far as I know (correct me if I am wrong guys) Zade is one of the main organizers of this tournament.

This tournament was held in a pretty small room - the hype was basically tearing the place apart at times! EXceed 3 can't come soon enough.
hey haunts thanks for doing this and giving the UK scene some exposure on amarican soil so to speak, another tournament is coming up on Feb 20th ill keep you posted on the info for that one.

Zak Ryan and the other UK will all be trashed in the next top european torunament in cannes,during march.
Its not just that UK sux but The other scenes(spanish,france,Italy)are much better.

Unless you're one of the players you listed above, shut the hell up! Alioune and Ricky are all you have and trust me the phrase "Buss Up!" won't be good enough to describe the beating you'll get if you underestimate us.

I agree at least with the fact that the French have a stronger fighting game scene but Zak and Ryan have always held their own out there in previous games. Shit... even without those two we went out to France and qualified for SBO a couple years ago. Now I know you have no idea what you're talking about because I am no where near Ryan and Zak's level but yet I buss up Ricky TTT and I have no idea how many times I perfected Shirl. No disrespect to them. Shirl ended up just about knocking me out of the lst tournament we met in. Ricky TTT is an o.k player no doubt. But the only name you've written up there that is actually worth comparing to Ryan and Zak is Alioune! That guy may as well be Japanese! I suggest you get to kno what's really going on because Alioune is th best Sagat outside of Japan IMO... but the others aren't far from my level!

SVB09 is exactly that... '09. The players have grown and improved since then. Or is the only reason you're hating is that EXceed got coverage on iPW? If you want coverage ask, either that or hype your event. I suggest you take your "we're better than you" attitude and show us what YOU'VE got at Cannes as Alioune, Ricky, Shirl, etc. aren't here talking trash and will let their play speak itself. I hope your bite is as good as your bark! Cause if not, you'll be eating those words as a spectator.

What does it matter who I loose to. I'm using myself as an example to show you that the other guys are simply not on the level you seem to feel they're on. And as Yus stated... I don't see any of those guys hyping like this. Shirl and Ricky TTT were both very humble in person. And sorry to have to correct you again but there were no match fixes at SVB. Ryan Hart played against Angel666 in the first elimination round because he lost to Shau Blad... another UK Sagat player, in the group stages. Ryan Hart didn't win his group you idiot. He came second. Shau Blad won that group and went on to knock out that italian viper player whils Ryan was forced to play a group winner for coming second. Jeez somebody looks really stupid right now and it aint me. I bet my top dollar this guy isn't even gonna be at Cannes! lol But here he is hyping as if the Italians are what we're worrying about. Another keyboard soldier! lol

We had two 10v10s vs the French and won both, then we had a multi-country 5v5 and F Word OCV'd France and Spain.

Obviously the guys trash , has never been to a tournament and has probably watched 2 videos on youtube of ryan hart and thinks he can talk shit. Oh btw big boy , Rickyttt winning svb doesnt mean shit , Sorry to say it but ricky wasnt the best player on that day at all. and shirl is good but nothing amazing. Remember that those 5on5 were played for fun, we didnt have a single top spanish player in our team (only me) in fact, we picked up 1 random italian and 1 swiss player (how about rockhoward--> best EU chunli, chocolo, fasoll---> best EU viper) you dont even know who are those players.
So doesnt mean anything, you have the play often the players before speak like that or say my country is better cause blabalbla, those 5on5 doesnt mean anything, you guys adapt the information as you want, and this is not ok.
If you guys start to speak like that, I will keep you informed about the results vs Zak, Ryan Hart, Infexious etc when we play online.

Yo Ricky how you doing bro. Listen this whole Drama was started by Fan boys and I think us gamers need to step away from the talking side of things and settle our differences at big tournys! Now I don't know if you think we've over reacted but if some idiot comes up and says the UK are trash and Ricky TTT, Alioune and Shirl are the best players in Europe and I don't believe this to be entirely true, I'm gonna say something. The sad thing about this is the fact that as players, you and Shirl are very humble and I am yet to see you trash talk anyone. You're very respectful players who let your skills do the talking and I commend you for this. Regardless, silly little fan boys are causing all this drama but I think the argument is done. Stunfest we'll do another 5 v 5 for all attending nations to take part in. I really want to play the other Spanish champs so I can level up my game.
