NEW SEGA 2D FIGHTER TO BE ANNOUNCED AT AOU2009

Looks like another fighter is on the horizon with SEGA planning to announce a new 2D Fighter at AOU2009 (Japanese Arcade expo). It's a SEGA/Arc Systems Works collaboration so don't expect a 2D Virtua Fighter game or anything out of left field  like that, it's most likely a new Guilty Gear or Hotuko no Ken game.

Keep in mind this an arcade announcement, so regardless of what they announce, it may not show up on consoles at all, and if it does there is a chance it wont make it out of Japan.

Thanks to Reno on SRK for the heads up.

    guilty gear x3?

if so, it better be developed exclusively by arc.

the story is that sol stole ky's coconuts so sonic has to help him get them back before they transform into chaos emeralds so eggman doesn't get them but then he does and dural kills him and then potemkin busters the master emerald and knuckles has to find the pieces.

it'll be the next fighter maker, i'll tell you what.
