« IPLAYWINNER PODCAST EPISODE 4 »
![]()
Yo! I asked our fans what the #1 thing they want to see more of on iPlayWinner, and the answer is podcasts! So here we are with episode 4, bringing back Pherai from Denjin Arcade and also introducing LVC, one of our newer contributors to iPlayWinner. Don't worry, Oichi from Versus City will return!
We are going to make the format more of an open discussion about fighting games moving forward so we can produce more podcasts on a more regular basis. We cant always guarantee international guests, but we feel there are enough people in the community and enough topics to cover to make this a more frequent occurrence.
In this episode we cover a range of topics such as:
- iPW Site Updates
- Bar Fights II and what the West Coast needs to do to get better.
- Strategy involving limiting your opponents options.
- Tekken and other games we are currently playing.
- Can a fighting game survive without solid netcode!?
..among various other topics that come up as well.
If you guys like this format let us know! if you have ideas for topics and guests, let us know! We hope you enjoy it!

I agree with the whole Socal = best buddy buddy bullshit. I can't stand how people go to the arcade to just hang out, I mean that's cool and all and the community is really tight and what not. But if the SF4 community wants to get better, leave all the buddy buddy shit before or after the sessions, game time you use it to get better not "OMG, that was sooo COOLZ, DUDE!" bleh.
Great podcast. Good topic run through. I'm pretty much new this podcast, somewhat to the site, but generally have rekindled my interest in fighting games through SF4, basically just SF4 however Tekken 6 isn't bad.
Just to add to on what you guys mentioned about online lag, with the upcoming SSF4 I definitely hope that with the huge change in online play they push server support. Usually the only clear connection I get in matches currently in SF4 is locally, locally meaning the same city with friends. But there is that factor of rage quitters out there lagging purposely aside from the typical connection problems with online gaming when searching for random matches (if the search finds anything). I know this isn't a new issue about SF4 online but with the upcoming SSF4 in the end of the 1st qtr of 2010, with Capcom going above and beyond with the bundle I hope they have the servers to make the game playable online in time. This update is based on the demands of it's fanbase and to cater to those who rely on online or want mix up their games with randoms online, it's an obvious standard.
I enjoyed it.
yo haunts what song is that in the intro
Good podcast. Though I would recommend trying to stick a bit more to the topics you guys wanted to talk about. The digressing made things a little more difficult to follow. I'd say aim for around the 55-60 minute mark--a lot of the listeners generally will tune out after the
Glad you guys liked it.. I dont know the tracks! Sorry, ask LVC, he was inc harge of music this time. :P

Great, thank you very, very much!
Or, as one famous mascot once said "It's about time!"
Looks like I need to blow the dust off my copy of 3S now. Great episode.
where's sebo?
shoryuken!
great- PLEASE keep the podcasts coming! I'm not trying to get down on anyone else out there, I don't know how much work it takes you guys to put podcasts out there on a regular schedule, but it seems like every time I get hooked on a fighting game related podcast, it goes stagnant or just completely stops. For those of us that don't have access to a large community of good players it's GREAT to be able to hear from all of you guys that are really deep in the scene in areas where all the activity is really happening. Great work guys, hope the podcasts keep flowing!
What ever happened to "the #1 thing [people] wanted more of on iplaywinner.com"?
no more of? :(
Awww, I miss these podcasts :( This is like the tenth or fifteenth time I'm listening to this one. Please put out another one. I'll trade you a hug for a podcast - deal, Haunts? :O
Yup, I regularly jump straight to this page in hopes of seeing a new podcast too. At least make a "final podcast" for the audience :D
