The latest edition of Famitsu has more in store for fighting game fans than just information on Super Street Fighter 4, it seems. The magazine has also revealed that BlazBlue is coming to the Sony PSP early next year. The only known information is the release date, which is 25 February, 2010 for the Japanese release, and that it will be called BlazBlue Portable. There is little doubt the title will look gorgeous on Sony's hand-held. The game's control scheme seems well suited to the PSP as well. With the recent Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny, the upcoming Tekken 6 and now BlazBlue, the PSP has been seeing some fighting game loving recently.

According to a translation of the Famitsu text via SRK, BlazBlue Portable will have a new mode called "Legion". No information on that that entails. There will also apparently be a total of 12 characters available to play with Unlimited characters. With 12 characters, BlazBlue Portable seems to be a port of Calamity Trigger and not the upcoming Continuum Shift.

New information from 1Up: BlazBlue Portable will have ad-hoc fighting for up to four players. Also, the new "Legion" mode is a game variant where you move your character around a strategic map and engage in one-on-one battles to take over territory.

I'm so happy that you guys are benefitting from my translations. lol.
Maybe I oughta post this on my own site instead... HMMMM. :P
We all appreciate your translations for sure, Reno. I'd rep you to the moon if I could. I'm surprised you didn't put this up on your site. The address is http://reno.versuscity.net/ if you guys haven't checked it out yet.
This is the best news of the day for me so far. Finally something else to play on my PSP other than Alpha 3 Max.
I agree. I can't wait to see how this turns out! Unless you just don't like the series, though, I also highly recommend Darkstalkers Chronicle: The Chaos Tower. It's another awesome 2D fighter on PSP. Only problem I have with that game is that every time I play it I dream about a new game using the SF4 engine!
