SUPER STREET FIGHTER 4 SCANS OF CODY ADON AND GUY!
haunts | 42 Comments Looks like the next batch of characters coming to Super Street Fighter 4 are from the Street Fighter Alpha universe! Cody, Guy and Adon are shown in these Famitsu magazine scans rounding out the confirmed new characters to six total.

Many interviews from CAPCOM hint that perhaps eight may be the final number of new characters to show up in the next revision of the game, but we will just have to wait and see. Sound like they are on a tight development schedule so I am sure they are trying to fit in as many characters as possible while still keeping the gameplay balanced.

Looks like Ibuki from Street Fighter 3 could be making an appearance as well. Keits from SRK pointed out that if you look at the upper right of the scan with Guy, you will see he is "parrying" a kunai (blade that Ibuki chucks out).
This isnt confirmed of course, could be anything -- a weapon that Cody can use perhaps?

LOL Im with you Brenttiscool. I second that we really don't need other clones (too many Ryus). I hate how Adon is so much like Sagat, however after I saw that Metro stage pic with the wide focus I knew it was gonna be him, which makes me kinda sad cause I wanted Ibuki, Mika, Rolento, Guy and Cody. I was sooo freaking happy when I saw that they put both Guy and Cody but now going by the "around 8 characters" quote that leaves only two slots which means one of my characters will def not make it plus they might make a new characters which knocks another slot off :(. But I really hope they add Rolento if no one else. He seems like the closest to Vega, which is my main :). Though I do wanna see Ibuki, I doubt they'll add sf3 characters due to their some what different style mechanics. Mika seems like she would be bad ass being that we have a grappler (Gief) and a high-flier (El Furte). Mika's spin on wrestiling would be a well added addtion don't you think. Well enough of this rant lol, here's hoping to Rolento, Mika and Ibuki. Like SXEZSKOZ, dreams do come true, they have so far (Guy/Cody).

By parrying, do you mean focus attacks? lol I'm lost :(. If not than that would be cool if they change/added mechanics, I mean who doesn't want parrying? And that means that my other character I wanted will be added. HELL YEAAAAA! Dreams really do come true. Come on Capcom, just give me Rolento and Mika PLEASEEEE!
Also, why is the screen shot of guy "parrying Ibukis kunai" negative. Could that also indicate that it might not be a focus and may just be a Parry? OMG PLEASE NEED MORE INFO. I this IPW, cause they always seem to have the info first. Thanks guys!
Ok lol this is my last post. Sorry if you guys feel I"m spamming, just have lots to say. Well I've been talking, what seems stupid to me now, about the addition of parrying. I've just realized that if they added that, it would damage the game. If they had parrying than focus attacks would than become a tiny bit useless (maybe?). Focusing is like they core of sf4 gameplay, as was parrying for sf3. To add that to 4 would kinda change things a lot. I'll take this to the forums I guess lol.
Damn I thought it would for sure be Rolento. But hey Adon is finally confirmed!! Pretty much speculation from the beginning. So if all is right will be seeing some SF3 iterations in 4. JUICED.
LOL this really is the last one. Word of advices, think before posting, lol, I just noticed that the original pic of guy wasn't negative. Please forget about the entire sf3 parry system thing, it was just useless wishing on my part :(
I think capcom has right out and said parrying will not be in the game. I find it funny people think alpha characters are a better fit..capcom takes a more comedic liberty with that line..(Dan comes to mind). I also don't see how adon plays the same..he has no fireball, that's a HUGE difference. So, far i'm happy with the list.. i wish alex and urien, but they won't and i'm not going to say capcom = fail.
Sorry, i'm not trying to imply parrying will be in the game at all. Bad wording on my part. It's just that it doesn't look like a focus attack to me -- maybe an alpha counter or something like that?
It sucks for Dictator players that Cody is being thrown into the game as he is an obvious counter pick. Every time Dictator throws out scissors Cody just hits him back with rock.

And Adon plays nothing like Sagat. They are both kickboxers but that's where the similarities end really.

look at some gameplay footage if you have never played or seen Adon at all and you can tell ther is a difference. KTHXBAI

@Haunts Perhaps you may be right. I'm speculating a command counter like Gouken's or maybe they messed with the pic to cover another mystery character which I also think is Ibuki.
@Valkyrie Looks very reminiscent of Gief's stage. But it could be Cody's after all he still has the jail threads. His fit doesn't seem as baggy as in alpha 3 though. It looks like a body suit. Maybe there's still some modeling to be done on him.
Adon looks amazing!!! and I agree Oshkosh and Marcopolo. It's a fact that Adon and Sagat play nothing alike. Adon separates his style with a faster and acrobatic style with no projectiles. Just because characters wear a gi doesn't mean that they are just a bunch of Ryu clones.
So if there are only two slots left I believe it will be Ibuki and Makoto. I think they're looking to up the female character roster. But it'd be great to pit Dudley and Balrog together. Two different boxers.

It's very different and the only thing in common is that both are Muai Tai warriors.

I've never played Adon (I missed the whole "Alpha" era), but I've always loved his character design. He just looks cool as hell. He looks kind of feral, ripped and looking like he can kick some serious butt, and his stance is very cool. Awesome character design and glad to see him confirmed!
I think the stage with Cody is the Metro City one they showed with Chun Li. You can see Chun Li getting beat up by Cody.

The gods have answered my prayers and I’m not religious. lol Adone was one of my favorite characters in the Alpha series, The dude is just sweet to use especially against sagat.
Let’s hope they add Rolento to this mix as well.
