SUPER STREET FIGHTER 4: $39.99 AND COMING OUT IN MARCH?

Looks like Gamestop has thrown Super Street Fighter 4 up for presale on their website. Seems like it's only gonna run you $40 bucks and some change. It also gives us a release date: March 23, 2010.
I'm pretty happy that its only going to run me two Jacksons, I was pretty sure that "not going to be full-priced" meant $50 dollars or something along those lines. Thanks Capcom!
(On another note, I would probably still buy the game even if it was $60 bucks. I've gotten way more than $60 dollars of gameplay out of my copy of Street Fighter 4.)

40 dollars seems reasonable to me, but I hope the March release date isn't correct... It just seems too soon in my eyes.. Id like it to come out summer of next year so they have enough time to get everything right.
March?!? Why not February?!?! Why not January?!? Fuck it, release it tomorrow! I wanna play it already :(
You do have a point with rushing it, but the Japanese really work hard. Also, from all that they want to add, I really do hope that they keep the game balanced. From when they have announced the game and speculations of what the game is like in TGS, it is indeed too soon. From interviews I have seen with Ono-san, I think that they are still unsure about themselves. On the price, $40 is awesome. I like it. I really hope that they have an arcade release. I'm unsure of what the arcade seen will be like(SSF4 for that matter as well) if there is no arcade release.
Yeah I mean, lets look at the roster here. Its at what, 26 + a potential 8? Thats like getting close to CVS2 / Marvel Status as far as rosters go so the hopes that it will be perfectly balanced just get slimmer from here imo.. I think if they spend a little extra time on it, it will go a long way. Not to mention there is a lot to be desired as far as online modes go... I want this to be the definitive version of SF4...
Then again I guess they could always update via DLC!
I believe that right now the game is well-balanced. From what I hear they are going to change focuas attacks, Ultra's(quantity of Ultra's as well). That in itself is a lot of reworking. Gamestop does push back deadlines though. They did that with Halo, God of War, and I'm sure these two are not the only ones. Of course, this is not GameStop's fault, the developers choose when they release games, not GameStop. Hopefully, SSF4 is next on the list. IF the Japanese succeed in making this game good, I will applaud the people behind the scenes of SSF4 for achieving such a difficult task in such a short amount of time.
DLC is good.....very good. lol
I wouldn't think much of it. Just Gamestop trying to get the listing out the gates so they can guarantee a set amount of cash before release. All based on the same hearsay we all know (standalone game, spring 2010, less than full price).
cool.ill buy it.40 dollars.in euros must be hm.....like 35 euros.
Great news.
i don't think the march release is too soon, i bet they've been working on it alot sooner than everyone thinks, it just seems so quick because they only announced so recently and nobody expected it.
but nice price. don't give them any ideas about raising the price, i'd still buy it too if it were 60 lol
@Choysauce "i bet they've been working on it alot sooner than everyone thinks"...
....^^you are right.i agree with you.also we have clues.T.Hawk and Dee Jay were almost done and probably be in the previous game.but they said that time has forced them to not add them in SFIV. i dont beleive that. but anyway...
@Choysauce "i'd still buy it too if it were 60 lol"....
....^^ yeah me too. :)
The release date and price are not real...Gamestop does this with every game without a release date. They guess, and start a listing because they want to start taking pre-order money.
Dannkk is right. It's placeholder. They do this for pre-orders. However, it sounds right. I'm also guessing that Gamestop's corporate buyer talked to Capcom's sales dept. to get an estimate, especially on the price.
Any news on the pc version?
