KING OF FIGHTERS XII

King of Fighters XII is the next installment on SNK-Playmore's long running series of team based fighting games. This is a high definition 2D sprite based game. To create the visuals for KOFXII, SNK used a technique called 'rotoscoping'. This essentially means computer generated 3D models were created for each character as a guide for artists to go back and draw frame-by-frame each move and animation.
This is slated for a Q2 2009 release for consoles.
