Referring to Johnny's Mist Finer in Guilty Gear, a Mist Finer is a negative edge move that puts the player in a stance on press and initiates the move itself on release. Mist Finers come in three flavors; high, mid or low. Which one you do depends on what button you press (P, K or S respectively) and you remain in the Mist Finer stance for as long as said button is held.

 

Mist Finers have found their way into other games, such as Rumble Fish and Melty Blood.
