JAB (LIGHT) PUNCH
Crouching Light Punch can be used to start combos and also to set up a tick into Tornado Throw.
STRONG (MEDIUM) PUNCH
Crouching Medium Punch is a decent poke and a great combo starter when the opponent leaves themselves open for punishment.
FIERCE (HEAVY) PUNCH
Crouching Heavy Punch is Abel's launcher which will allow you to combo not only into Falling sky, but also Ultra 1. It can also be used as an anti-air attack when timed properly.
Diagonal Jump Heavy Punch is one of Abel's best air-to-air attacks, allowing him to beat most jumping attacks with ease.
SHORT (LIGHT) KICK
Crouching Light Kick is a solid close range attack that is useful setting up a combo or also a tick into Tornado Throw.
FORWARD (MEDIUM) KICK
Crouching Medium Kick is more often than not used as an anti air, allowing him to stop most jump in attacks.
Diagonal Jump Forward Medium Kick is Abel's go to Cross Up move, allowing you to set up not only combos but some great mix-ups afterwards.
ROUNDHOUSE (HEAVY) KICK
You can cancel his Roll or Wheel Kick from a Crouching Heavy Kick which makes it useful for mix ups.
Close Standing Heavy Kick (not pictured) is an excellent attack to use after a cross up considering it is an overhead attack.
TOWARDS + MK
Towards and Medium Kick is a huge part of Abel's game, allowing him to close in on the opponent by canceling into a dash. You tap forward after the Medium Kick connects on hit or block, and Abel will rush in towards the opponent. On hit, you can combo into Standing Heavy Punch, making for some devastating combos, and if you land a counter hit with the Forward Kick, the combo into Standing Heavy Punch becomes much easier.
